A heartfelt thank you to the organizers of Power Day at Koldinghus Castle, where I had the pleasure of giving a presentation on AI on Power 11. My sincere thanks also go to the many engaged participants who listened with such enthusiasm.
Koldinghus provided a magnificent and atmospheric setting for the day, reminding us that
our modern society rests on the shoulders of many generations before us. The day concluded with a delightful dinner in the castle’s old dungeon, leaving us with a profound sense of humility and deep respect for this historic royal stronghold. Many thanks again - and also for the entertaining and inspiring guided tour.
In sharp contrast to these medieval surroundings, my presentation focused on the future: how the new Power 11 processors, with their built-in accelerators, support the growing demand for AI integration in modern business processes on IBM Power Systems.
Yet, perhaps there is a meaningful parallel between Koldinghus and IBM Power Systems: Just as the castle is built on centuries of history, IBM Power Systems is founded on a rich legacy dating back to the 1960s. With equal parts respect and pride, we can state that the platform remains exceptionally strong, supporting hundreds of thousands of organizations worldwide. In nearly every benchmark, IBM Power Systems continues to outperform its competitors.

Absolutely not - but we are facing a significant challenge. Many of the seasoned experts - our “castle soldiers” - are approaching retirement, and there are too few young talents ready to take over the reins.
